St Werburgh’s is an iconic building and was sold off as a church about 30 years ago, it has been an indoor market and Chinese restaurant and was completely closed for 7 years.
On the 17th September 2017, St Werburgh’s reopened its doors with an evening service, which was the first to be held there for many decades.
In March 2018 we started our morning service with kids work.
In September 2023 we celebrated our sixth birthday and as the months progress the building is being continually transformed into an incredible space, merging the old with the new, for worship, building relationships, music events, community groups and much much more.
And so we continue to build and authentic community, that is Christ-Centred and plays it’s part in transforming the city and beyond.
